I usually like to reserve this space to talk about issues related to therapy and mental health, but I had a magical experience today, and I wanted to share.
A year ago last June, we adopted Figment. A lot of you know and love Figment, sometimes he even comes to my office and serves as co-therapist.
We adopted him from "Forever Home Rescue", located in Walpole, MA. One lick, and we were hooked.
Since then, he's been an amazing pet, and a good friend. We love him lots, and we're pretty sure he enjoys us.
But today, at the "PetRock Fest", sponsored by Forever Home, we actually met Figment's foster family from down south, where he was found in a dumpster. Hugging this family meant so much to us-and they loved seeing Fig all grown up and happy.
Please, if you're looking for a pet, adopt a shelter dog. And remember to spay & neuter.
My boy has some issues, no doubt, but nothing that some hard work and love hasn't fixed. Thanks so much to all the folks along the way that took care of Figment until we could find him and take him home.
